The wonderful people at Feilden Clegg (the most velorutionary architectural firm in the world), and Blueprint magazine (have you seen the stimulating 30+ page section on cycling, in the latest issue?) are also co-sponsoring the Re-inventing the Bike Shed Competition.
The event has two phases: a Student competition, which has concluded. Entries are being shown at The Arches, 52 – 54 Tooley Street, London SE1; and an Open Competition, with deadline on 4th September.
You are welcome to come on Sunday for the official launch of the Open Competition.
A seminar, chaired by Vicky Richardson, and including Wayne Hemingway, designer, founder of Red or Dead; Adam Thorpe, of BikeOff; Jason Cornish, architect at Feilden Clegg Bradley Architects; Tom Bogdanovich of the LCC and yours truly, will kick off the debate on what designers and architects can do to deter bike theft.
