I live in Japan. That is one city doing that, not all of Japan. They will get a nasty letter from me for such a wasteful program.

So stupidly wasteful. But, of course, we Americans do things equally as stupidly wasteful.

That is so sad. Seeing an old rusting bike stripped of its wheels rotting against a bikepost sucks as well… but geeze man… to compact-crush a bike like that – yucky!
