Marketing Alternatif reports a recent WWF campaign in China:
The black balloon was attached to the exhaust and the engine was left running for a day. The big black cloud once inflated represented the average weekly discharge of CO2 of a Beijing automobile.
As the Union of Concerned Scientist claims:
Your choice of vehicle is probably your single most important environmental decision.

That is a very very cool in your face visual. That needs to become a world wide campaign. I think most people just don’t have any understanding of how much polution their cars produce.
Actually, your choice of whether to DRIVE your vehicle is more important than the type of vehicle you buy.
If you own a gas guzzler but rarely drive it, your impact may be much smaller than someone who owns a hybrid and–because they know such cars have a reduced impact–drives it everywhere, regardless of the length of the trip.
Ride your bike.

nice campaign for advertising, … I thought its some global warming caution with a black smoke. Interesting idea to catch attention for people.
