That is us. And we don’t mind; if tomorrow the Coolest-hunter of the lot, after having his Swift stolen, declares that saddle-less is better, you will soon see half of Hackney with sore bums.
Seriously, Londoners may want to be inspired by the dominant performance of Hoy & Co., but please don’t ride in town like one of those super(wo)men, as the BBC tries to encourage. As one commenter wisely says:
I cannot see the connection. It’s like looking for what formula 1 can do to assist the regular motorist. Cycling as a commuter activity would fare much better if we stopped trying to connect it to sport and sporty types. No turned up jeans on the Dane, but he’s still in the skinny leg pants that fixie riders here in the USA seem to favor.
That BBC article — wow.
anyone who has cycled the morning commute on the cycle paths of Copenhagen or Berlin, will know that it’s more cut throat than the M25 on a bank Holiday monday. (and there are lots of skinny jeans and one leg turn-ups)
LOL. It's an old bike so I guess it will blend in.
