Everyone has had a great time at Freewheel (here is a German enthusiast), and it was beautiful to see so many children riding freely with their parents.
One of our customers says:

I quite enjoyed the whole event but it did feel a little over engineered and politicised (from all camps – Boris vs the radical fixie brigade) – unlike say what I imagine the Parisian equivalent is when the close the quais every Sunday in August ( I think…) It would be just nice to have it on the 1st Sunday of June July August Sept and leave it at that, like the mall.!
But all in all a good job!

Let’s be more ambitious: why only four days when a year has fifty-two Sundays (and eight Bank holidays)? Bogota, a city of similar size to London, closes 70km of roads every Sunday for the enjoyment of hundreds of thousands of people on bikes.

I live in Northwest North Carolina and have been looking for a tricycle like this to haul my two kids (6 months and 2 years) around a little mountain town. Do you know if there are any American distributors or other tricycles like this I could buy without having to import it?
    Thanks,
    Emily

  1. At the moment Christiania Bikes does not have product liability insurance to sell in the United States. Although on the opposite side of the continent, Clever Cycles in Portland, does sell European bicycles from a manufacturer who originally had similar obstructions. So maybe you can contact them.

  2. Let’s move on to those that control the money, the chaps that run the Bank of Canada. Yes, these money managers managed to donate a hefty chunk of change to the Liberal Party of Canada. In fact, out http://www.chase.com of every $100 donated to political parties by the current board of directors of the Bank of Canada, $99 went to the Liberal Party. How does the government reward these outstanding individuals? Give them a seat at on the board. Here’s a graphical representation:

  3. Hey there, thanks for the info, I appreciate you sharing it here!
