No it cannot be termed as French Hat, but yes it is quite common in the French people I would say.. I know some French in my neighbor hood and have seen them with it. Want to have one for myself too.

I really like the Tweed cap, these are those used in the 70s and 80s where we see those in the British movies.. I have seen some people wearing these recently on the roads and I think could be next in thing.
