We just put up another interview with Mikeal in which he talks about how to persuade politicians to spend money on bike Infrastructure. It’s called; Talking to Mikael.

Also, I’ve also almost finished an interview with Holland’s most influential bike blogger, David Hembrow who blogs at; View from the cycle path. Mike Rubbo

  1. I only learned of Mikael the other day. I have known about Copenhagenize and CycleChic for a few months.

Mikael speaks perfect sense, we need to get away from the term ‘cyclists’. A reminder of how those who ride bikes in the UK have become ‘cyclists, rather than ‘normal’ people is perfectly revealed in this blog post by David Hembrow. It’s exactly what Mikael was talking about.

In Britain, ‘cyclists’ have become an out-group and are now on the receiving-end of the same kind of group-think hatred and abuse that used to be directed at groups such as homosexuals; racial minorities and so-on. Active and verbal homophobia and racism are now illegal, when will this happen with cyclophobia?
