Is there anything that makes people smile more than a bicycle made for two? Probably not. Everyone’s knows that a tandem is just about the most charming form of transport out there. However, the Circe Helios Tandem is not only charming but unbelievably practical. The range opens up the possibilities of Tandem riding, child carrying and load carrying. Any of the models can be converted to any of these uses with the help of a few accessories. So now you know. Tandems, while still charming, [...]
Continuing our discussion of how to prepare for autumn I think we are going to have to talk about how the evenings are beginning to draw in. Lets face it, if you commute back in the evening you are eventually going to have to invest in some bike lights. Okay so which ones to go for? Well there’s a dizzying choice but these new wearable Knog boomer lights are worth a mention. They are like the excellent Knog Boomer except they clip onto your clothes. [...]

Heavy rain. If you’re a pedestrian you can use an umbrella. If you use public transport you can hop onto a steamy bus and escape getting completely drenched. If you’re a cyclist, well, you just have to kind of embrace it. This is why, as I mentioned yesterday, some kind of waterproof gear is a must for every cyclist. Water off a Duck’s Back have created a great range of waterproof clothing for cyclists. Their Macintosh Coat looks stylish and has been specifically tailored so [...]
The sun has been shining pleasantly during these last few weeks of Summer. However, call me pessimistic, but i’m not sure if this weather will hold throughout autumn. Yes in my experience, autumn means rain. Which is why cyclists should prepare now. This means some kind of waterproof clothing may be a good buy. This wrap around skirt from Georgia in Dublin provides a great alternative to waterproof trousers. To put it on you simply wrap it around your waist like an apron. It looks [...]
We have a customer who recently arrived home, turned around and his bag with laptop had disappeared. He traced his route, trying to remember how much stuff he had not backed up, and fortunately he found the bag five minutes later; next morning he was at our shop buying a Basil front rack: this way he can keep an eye on his bag all the time. If your bike cannot accommodate a front rack, here is a good option: this laptop case by Ultra Motor [...]
Dring Dring! We have the new 2011 stock of DringDring hand-painted bells in store now. They have a lovely old fashioned sound to them. There’s nothing better for politely warning the pedestrian who is just about to step in front of you.
Do you enjoy cycling but secretly resent the last couple of hills on the way home? Well, if this is the case the Ebco Eagle may be for you. The Ebco Eagle has an electric motor to help you up those hills and  generally make cycling a bit less tiring. We have also reduced the bike down from £1750 to £1600! It’s genuinely great if you have a long or hilly commute. In fact, even if you don’t, it’s nice not to have to arrive [...]
The Swaggerwagon is a new bike from Van Moof! If you thought the  Van Moof no.3 was a great bike and you happen to be a lady you’re in luck. The brilliantly named Swaggerwagon is like the No.3 but made especially for the ladies. Essentially it has the same design as the No.3 but with 26 inch tyres so it’s alot easier to get on to. By the way these tyres are in panther pink, adding a funky dash of femininity to the No.3 frame. [...]
As a male I don’t often cycle in skirts or dresses. However, I have heard that doing so can make them pretty mucky. This is no small problem.  I mean,  who wants skirts with black wheel jam decorations around the hems? These skirt guards, made by Selle Monte Grappe,  solve the problem that many skirt wearers face. All you have to do is attach it onto your bike and they should stop your  skirt getting trapped in the wheel or in the gap between the [...]
Foot straps and toe clips are great; but have you noticed how they have a tendency to completely destroy your trainers? Study Footwear seem to of realised what us cyclists have to go through. Their new shoe – the ‘Bike Drop’ – is designed specifically for cyclists. The trainers feature a strong toe cup that both protects the shoe and fits perfectly into toe clips and pedal cages. At last the footwear dilemma for cyclists is resolved!
