If perception of safety is the number one deterrent against more people cycling, theft runs a close second. Hackney Cyclists in London have launched the HomeBikePark project, which offers solutions for easier and more secure parking for Hackney’s social housing. HomeBikePark will install solutions for at least 40 cycles at a number of locations across the borough. Solutions range all the way from inexpensive space-saving ways of storing a bike indoors, all the way up to tough, thief-resistant external lockers.

RoadCyclingUK (and others) – The Press Complaints Commission refuses to condemn Parris. It admits that if Parris had suggested to decapitate gays, blacks, muslims, women, autistics or paraplegics, he would have probably been found guilty of breeching the code. But cyclists are fair game and incitement to kill them is all right. The PCC is not the CPS; we firmly believe that Parris should spend time in jail: we will refer the matter to the Police.
