The Maxi has been developed for children and small adults who want to experience the freedom of riding on a two wheeler, but have not yet mastered the art.

The Maxi is suitable for taller children, usually riders 6 years old and above. Riders need to have a minimum inside leg measurement of 47cm with a weight restriction of 70kg (11 stone).

If your 5,6,7-year old is finding a pedal bike challenging (it often happens, if  s/he did not have the fortune to ride on a pedal-less bike), you can rent the maxi for £10/week and in two weeks maximum all the fears will be conquered.

We have a 100% success record.

The Jopo is here! In the 60′s almost every Finnish household had one, ridden by young and old. Helkama is aiming to capture the trend back to simple, comfortable, stylish urban machines and has reintroduced the Jopo in 5 bright colours. Single speed, 22″ wheels with a wide rear rack, it is a fun and effective runaround. Here is what trendmeister Tyler Brule had to say about it in the FT: Just as BMW has done much with the Mini, Helkama is sitting on a [...]
Riding my tricycle today with Miles in front, when this obscene Jag tries to cut me up. I give out a window-shaking ‘Oi!’ and the elderly woman driver brakes and lets me through; but she needs to go somewhere fast and she tailgates me for a few hunderd metres up to my front door, where I stop. No she was not in a hurry, because she stops, rolls the window down and shouts: “If you don’t get off the road, I will call the Child [...]
