Nicknames of the Peloton
All the greatest riders have had nicknames, some florid, some heroic, some perhaps less than complimentary. Part of the fabric of the sport, nicknames show the bond between the riders and their fans, and often tell the true story of the rider’s talents.
I’ve matched the nicknames of some of the greatest riders ever to recreations of the jerseys they were and are famous for wearing. From modern day stars to the heroes of yesterday, they are all here – but can you guess who is who?
