Moulton TSR9, Pashley
Total:
£100.00

The Moulton TSR9 made by Pashley still hold the key features that Alex Moulton defined back in the 1950s – small wheels, suspension, stiff unisex frame, adaptability to suit intended use, and innovation in design, engineering and manufacture. The Moulton, of today, has only improved on those designs resulting in a bike that’s lighter, stiffer, faster and more comfortable, as well as easier to transport by road, rail or air.

Sharing it’s genes with the TSR 27, the TSR 9 is a lighter, versatile machine with all the defining Moulton features. At home, in town or on the trail, it can handle all but the steepest of terrains.

Reggie Nadelson in the Financial Times (How to Spend It, 07.06, page 61): My current object of desire is an Alex Moulton bike. One of the pretty red ones with the little wheels and the suspension system that looks like a Norman Foster bridge. Also, apparently, it snaps into two pieces and can then be slung into a stylish bag you can put in a luggage rack. I’m not sure if this bike is exactly right for riding around London and New York with a [...]
Moulton Buzz reports: The new version of the widely acclaimed 14 speed internally geared hub will have a number of changes over the current version: It still has 14 gears with even steps all the way, but the overall ratio increases from 526% to 580% The hub shell will be about 20% smaller. Useful for building into small wheels The weight will be about 1400g, compared with 1700g of the current version It will not be suitable for use in tandems or other “hard core” [...]
Bike for All: Arsenal Footbal Club wanted to site cycle parking stands away from its new Emirates Stadium but Islington Council has told the club it should be encouraging cycling to home games not discouraging it. Of interest only to cycling Arsenal fans? No, if Arsenal had successfully argued that cycles were a security risk and so cycle parking should be downgraded, other businesses and organisations could have argued likewise, cutting the number of cycle parking facilities across the UK. Arsenal had argued that bikes [...]
