Adam Coffman, of Cycle Training, sends this story: Homebuyers get free bikes – BBC Homebuyers in Gloucester are to receive a new bike when they buy their property. The scheme has been set up by the city council to try to reduce traffic in the city. The bikes are being offered by developers involved in the Home Zones project, which aims to introduce a relatively car-free travel pattern into homeowners’ life. “It is about narrowing roads and making sure people travel slowly.”

Encycleopedia 04 is out in March. It is a beautiful website but it is not clear how much new material the 2004 print edition will have, compared to previous ones. It boasts a preface by Richard Ballantine, written two years ago and scrolling down the product list, it is not easy to find new products.
